Evropska ženska mreža protiv seksualnog nasilja je osnovana u martu 2017. Na početku je imala regionalni karakter zato što su je osnovale 4 ženske nevladine organizacije: Društvo SOS telefon za žene i decu žrtve nasilja Ljubljana, Slovenija, Ženska soba, Zagreb, Hrvatska, SOS telefon za žene i decu žrtve nasilja Nikšić, Crna Gora, i Incest Trauma Centar – Beograd, Srbija. U maju 2018. su pozvale na saradnju ugledne novinarke i novinara iz ove 4 zemlje Regiona, svi su zajedno uspešno završili proces učenja u oblasti seksualnog nasilja organizovan od strane Evropske ženske mreže i u toku učenja su dali inicijativu da se oformi Regionalna novinarska mreža protiv seksualnog nasilja koja od tada funkcioniše unutar Evropske ženske mreže protiv seksualnog nasilja.
Osnivanje Evropske ženske mreže protiv seksualnog nasilja, kao i otvaranje ove stranice Regionalne novinarske mreže, inicirao je Incest Trauma Centar – Beograd kao najstarija specijalizovana služba u Regionu u oblasti seksualnog nasilja sa 30 godina iskustva u radu.
The European Women’s Network against Sexual Violence (EWNASV) was founded in March 2017. At its very beginning, it had a regional character because it was co-founded by 4 women’s NGOs: The Association SOS Help-line for Women and Children Victims of Violence from Ljubljana, Slovenia, The Women’s Room from Zagreb, Croatia, The SOS Center for Women and Children Victims of Violence from Niksic, Montenegro, and The Incest Trauma Center – Belgrade, Serbia. In May 2018, they invited for co-operation female journalists and one male journalist from those 4 countries of the Region who successfully completed a learning process on Sexual Violence issue organized by EWNASV and along the learning they initiated the forming of the Regional Journalists’ Network against Sexual Violence which has been since then actively operating within the European Women’s Network against Sexual Violence.
The founding of EWNASV as well as the opening of this page of the Regional Journalists’ Network was initiated by the Incest Trauma Center – Belgrade as the oldest specialized service in the Region in the field of Sexual Violence, having 30 years of working experience.
