“26 years ago, in January 1996, nine-year-old Amber Hagerman went cycling with her brother Ricky in city of Arlington, Texas, and never returned. Although the girl’s murder was never solved, this case inspired citizens and local authorities to launch Amber Alert, a system that announces the disappearance of a child, thanks to which more than 1,000 children returned to their parents. Serbia, on the other hand, is still waiting for the introduction of Amber Alert.”
